Based on MarketWatch’s article, Pepper is looking to be introduced to different locations around Asia, but no set location just yet. This may pose a threat to one of the most popular entry level jobs that many students and young adults hover towards which is serving! Let’s go over the pros; it provides accurate way of ordering, especially when avoiding foods that cause allergic reactions and not having to deal with servers not understanding you since the bot has many languages built in its software, and are less costly compared to servers. How about the cons? One, Pepper bot will not be able to hold a relatable/social conversation, two, cannot deal with complicated orders or questions regarding taste preference, and servers may face major pay cuts due to lack of interaction with guests. Although there are some improvements that are still needed to be made, Pizza Hut is taking a complex and innovative route to deliver unique experience to its customers. Watch out competitors, Pepper is getting launched to be on the move this year, 2016!
