Domino’s has been on a role with how they deliver their pizza to their customers! This time around they have come up with an incredible idea to fly your pizza to you! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you heard me! They are using drones to deliver their pizzas and from extensive amounts of testing, they have pulled it off! One very lucky couple who are the very first to receive drone delivered pizza are Johnny and Emma Norman! Unfortunately, in the United States, we will not be the ones taking part in this brilliant and very exciting venture just yet. The ones who will most likely be trying this new venture are Australia, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Japan, and Germany. Of course, trials are still undergoing for this new way of delivering pizza, but nevertheless, this is one very impressive move for Domino’s.
How about people in the United States you may ask? According to the FAA, U.S. Federal Aviation Authority, they have created some new rules this year August stating what kind of small unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) are to be permitted to fly. Here are the pre-requisites, drones must weigh less than 55 lbs., fly up to at least 400 ft in altitude maximum and with speed of nothing more than 100 miles an hour.
Again, this brings up the question. What will employees of Domino’s do now? Will there be cut of job positions because of this new way of delivering, aka flying pizzas? Not at all. According to an article by CNBC, jobs would actually be booming for Domino’s. They would need more people working to support this drone delivery system! Great news for everyone all around!
